Qualifications for Counsellors:

We are excited to employ counsellors, social workers and psychotherapists and assisted by social work students under supervision and qualifying counsellors who exemplify and honour human services to the professional degree that they have committed themselves.
​Our staff are highly experienced, educated, valued, appreciated and community-minded.
Our counsellors are required to possess the following credentials:
  • counsellors have educational backgrounds in social work, psychology, counselling, and mental health. 
  • 5 years minimum supervised work experience working with a variety of populations and clients
  • registration with a professional association or college
  • liability insurance

To provide all Niagara Counselling Services clients with professional quality counselling services at a reasonable rate. We strive for excellence to assist in providing client-centred, solution-focused counselling services through innovation, focus, efficiency, and the willingness to take action to assist clients to achieve their individual goals.

We aim to provide our clients with accessible and up-to-date resources and opportunities for growth and achievement.  At the heart of our work, we believe in ongoing professional development and continuing education, lifelong learning and consistent upgrading of our skills and education through seminars, workshops and attending conferences as well as taking additional courses and certifications.
